"My mother was an Elvis lover. I grew up knowing everything Elvis. He was from our home state and in my house you respected Elvis Presley and hated Colonel Parker and Hollywood as they treated El poorly. I'm not fond of the casting here but I'll watch out of curiosity. "

But the biography genre just seems so played out. This was a good movie but I got only a little enjoyment out of it. "

"The story of Elvis caught me by surprise I didn’t know much about him or his story. I didn’t know about his dance moves being related to what they were, but I did forget that these were different and difficult times with segregation. I didn’t like the manager, I felt he was trying to portray himself as a victim throughout the film. Overall great performances from all actors in this film I was really invested and cried throughout the film."
