"🌟2/5🌟— The acting by lead actress Sosie Bacon is the ONLY reason I’d MAYBE give this movie a higher score — but gotta admit the jump-scares were good — Otherwise, this movie dragged on waaaay too long & was disappointing, especially considering all the hype & marketing for this film. I’d rather have spent my time finishing watching COCAINE BEAR (which was so cheesy that I turned off the TV in the middle of watching)…. ▪️But in defense of BOTH of these movies (THE SMILE😀 and COCAINE BEAR 🤧🐻), they’re always much better when seen AT THE THEATER amongst a crowd of giddy moviegoers & friends while you all LOL in reaction to all the fun jump-scares & silly CGI. "

"Omg this movie is terrifying. The jump scares were so unexpected and I was on edge the entire film. I loved how the entity was symbolic of trauma and how trauma can drive one to depression and suicide. The lead actress was amazing and I genuinely enjoyed the writing. This movie was honestly an unexpected gem of 2022."

"It took me awhile to get to this one because I somehow knew instinctively that it wouldn’t be for me ….and it wasn’t. The premise was cool (see movie “”Fallen” w/ Denzel Washington) for the demon hopping from host to host plot. The rest was pure nonsense. Jump scares galore so many it got irritating . The actors save for a few weren’t effective for me as well. "

"Oh. My. GOD. This surpassed any expectations I may have had going in. In the theater (if you see it at home turn this mess all the way up and have zero distractions for optimal viewing lol) I was consistently jump scared, it was absolutely brutal and bloody as all hell, and it had that “no one believes me” stress that I love so much. Not to mention the ending….yall honestly it’s hard for me with a lot of horror films to get an ending that I’m satisfied with. THIS. SH*T. GOT. ME. I also have a hard time not knowing what is going to happen next….and I legit had no idea. STELLAR acting, just about as close to perfect as a newer scary movie can get (for me). My standards are high as a massive horror nerd, but I think it also allows me the room necessary to really love a project like this. It certainly won’t be for everyone, but if you are highly versed in horror, love gore, and also respond to jump scares….this may be for you!!!! SOOOOO MUCH FUN, HIGHLY RECCOMEND "
