Especially when the magic and fantastical elements are the whole point of the original show? 2) who thought that CATS—of all things—could be compressed into a narrative structure, when the entire point of Cats is built around NOT having a plot? 3) if you’re going to use THIS MUCH CG, why even bother and just animate the whole thing? 4) when are we going to start realizing that Rebel Wilson and/or James Corden aren’t a selling point in…anything? And 5) why didn’t someone try to stop them when they saw where this project was heading and assumed they’d get their money back?"

"It's really bad. It's so bad that it's comical. But if you like bad movies, with comical proportion issues, and weird slightly off-putting cgi cat people this movie is for you. Jennifer Hudson killed it, as expected but everything else was more like "wtf am I watching." It was a funny theater experience, but we definitely walked out on the ending number (we had to tap out). I gave it a like for the comedic discussions that this movie caused but I definitely would never watch it again."
