I absolutely loved the sci-fi elements with the folding in of legendary lore, humor, reincarnation and storytelling. The main character is a mermaid with a strong sense of justice, strength, courage, kindness, intelligence, and empathy. The overall character portrayal was phenomenal and I died laughing so many times. I also cried several times from the depth of the emotional dynamics portrayed in some of the darker elements of the story. The darker elements of the story beautifully contrasts the levity and goofiness. "
