Marissa Meyer
The first graphic novel from #1 New York Times and USA Today bestseller Marissa Meyer! In her first graphic novel, bestselling author Marissa Meyer extends the world of the Lunar Chronicles with a brand-new,action-packed story about Iko, the android with a heart of (mechanized) gold. When rogue packs of wolf-hybrid soldiers threaten the tenuous peace alliance between Earth and Luna, Iko takes it upon herself to hunt down the soldiers' leader. She is soon working with a handsome royal guard who forces her to question everything she knows about love, loyalty, and her own humanity. With appearances by Cinder, Cress, Scarlet, Winter, and the rest of the Rampion crew, this is a must-have for fans of the bestselling series.

"I liked this book because of the art within the book, and how it starts essentially 7 months after Cinder takes the throne. Whereas in Stars Above the last short story is when Cinder has eradicated the throne. It’s nice to have another book that adds substance to the story as a whole. "

"I love this series. It was great so see everybody back. I like that it set right after Winter. We got to see some of the problems that took place after Winter. The book focus on iko going to Earth to get the wolf hybrids that refused to come back to Luna. Then there is some focus on how Cinder is dealing with being queen. I wasn’t interested in it but there is some android racism. Since Iko is a android she isn’t viewed as a hero. She is still not treated human.

Kinney, her love interest is one of those people. Lets me start with saying how bad the romance is. Kinney is a jerk. He tells Iko to her face that she doesn’t have human emotions and the she is beneath him. Even by iko he is described as one of Cinder’s most loyal guards, a jerk but he’s hot. She kisses him at one point and i don’t know why. She personally right at the beginning saids that he’s hot but too bad that he’s a jerk. Iko you can do so much better. We are supposed to just support this ship because hate to lovers. If you have to do hate to lovers at least have the characters not have feelings until later and not do “the guy is a jerk but at least he’s hot”.

Another problem i had was that the characters lacked there personality and charm. They were still them but it felt like they were missing something. If you don’t know what i mean it like you watched Avatar and loved it. You fell in love with the characters. Then you watch Legend of Korra. You see all the scenes that the Avatar cast some back. Expect for Toph, they loose their charm. Thorn didn’t feel that much like Thorn. There were times that i felt he was acting more like a teen boy. Iko mostly the same but she talks like an android. If you read the Lunar Chronicles Iko doesn’t talk in anyway that reminds us that she’s an android. All the other character it just felt like they were missing something. The author captors each character’s personality a lot better in the book series. Like a read the epilogue that it was just the characters having a wedding and i loved it. The graphic novel is just missing the charm.

There was a big problem with the designs. All the characters had the same face but different hair. If you look at the picture of the characters all the boy characters look really similar. Wolf is the only one that it’s easy to tell but that’s just because of his fur. There was a few times that i mistaken Kinney with Thorn. And there would be times that the face doesn’t match what they are saying. Most the time they just have that simple smile."

"It's ok. I don't hate it, or love it, but it does annoy me a bit. The art is... Off. It's not bad or anything, it's just inaccurate about the characters appearances (like how some of them are missing fingers). Besides that, I kinda hated some of the characters outfits. The art style is cute though, and the writing is solid, so I recommend it unless you realize every small inconsistency and mistake ever. "

"Iko finally gets her story, and it is well written and well deserved. And with the addition of a very grouchy friend, if you liked the lunar chronicles I'm sure you will love this addition "
