"Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down it had such a great plot and the ending was sweet."

"This was a really good book! I was a little sceptical going into it because I read Beach Read a few weeks ago and didn't really love it, but this one did not let me down! It was such a fast, easy read! There were so many funny moments and I loved all the inside jokes they had! There were times I was definitely frustrated with the main characters for their lack of communication skills, but overall I really enjoyed this book!"
"4/5 stars ⭐️💖🌴
This book was my happy place and I believe parts were genuinely Emily Henry’s best, most impactful writing. Whether it be on love, loss, grief, or glimmers of hope. That is why it pains me to give it a 4, but parts lost momentum towards the late beginning and early middle. It took me a bit to get engaged, but once I did I was all-in. The ending was a game-changer and really tied everything together beautifully. It was about the mess, pain, and beauty of things and people not ever staying static. Finding mental and physical happy places that bring you relief amidst struggle. And it was about the capacity to re-find romance and friendship when you feel distant from people you once felt close to. That really resonated with me as I have a hard time with goodbyes, whether it be to a friend or a chapter of my life I’m closing out. The past is like a contained bubble that already happened while the present can bring many changes to what you once thought you knew. Sometimes the starting again, the reinvention, becomes the hardest part.
Harriet returns to a summer house in Maine with her lifelong group of friends and former fiancé who she hasn’t admitted to breaking up with. The dynamics of the group hang in fragile precariousness as she processes how to act with her fiancé in front of her friends that know her as well as the back of their hands. She doesn’t want to disrupt their friend group, but is imminent change inevitably on the horizon anyways? It just might be.
Filled with a lot of heart, remarkable insight, spicy banter, and intimate romance, this book is a treat, especially when you’re grappling with change and self-identity. "
"I like Emily Henry’s books, but this was not my favorite.
The best friend group from college days is growing apart, but nothing a week vacation in their happy place can’t cure. Funny one-liners steeped in their long history and many memories made for some lol moments.
(It just took a long time to get to the inevitable and predictable conclusion.)"
