A good editor would have fixed that but then the book would have been like 25% shorter. I had this feeling with Legendary too, but this book doesn't even feel connected to Caraval. The characters and the world are so far removed from where we started I have to wonder if I would have liked this more if it wasn't the finale Caraval book."

Finished this book in one day. This whole series was so expertly written. From the magic, the mystery, the romances (enemies to lovers, love triangles), down to the setting and world building with Harry Potter vibes. It ignited a passion for reading in me that I had lost a long time ago. I can’t say that I liked any books more than others, as they all had unique experiences to give us. I am so grateful to this series for giving me back the passion I was missing, and I truly loved the experience of it"

I thought Legend was kinda toxic towards tella. Also I thought Jacks was left without closure. He was my favorite character and he didn’t get the ending he deserved. I thought Scarlett was also kinda boring, There wasn’t enough of Julian, Tella was kinda whiny, And the end felt rushed and fake. The story was also predictable. The best part were the fates."

maria_b_697 shared a tip "I finally finished reading it. I really enjoyed the first two even though it took a while to get into the first book. I struggled through this one and even put it down for a bit. Just over the half way mark is where it picked up for me again and I enjoyed it."

rvbfrey shared a tip "Honestly, my least favourite of the three. I preferred the story of Caraval and the actual game to that of the Fates. I couldve done without them. Half way through right now and have predicted all of the twists so far. Tella’s lack of backbone and her relationship with both Legend and Jacks is frustrating and super toxic. Couldve done with less pining, and more magic like the first book, personally."
