In this romantic dramedy from the author of Alex, Approximately, a teen girl’s way-too-ordinary life is driven off the beaten path when she’s abandoned in the wilderness with her worst adversary—the boy who broke her heart.Ever since last year’s homecoming dance, best friends-turned-best enemies Zorie and Lennon have made an art of avoiding each other. It doesn’t hurt that their families are the modern day, Californian version of the Montagues and Capulets. But when a group camping trip goes south, Zorie and Lennon find themselves stranded in the wilderness. Alone. Together. What could go wrong? With no one but each other for company, Zorie and Lennon have no choice but to hash out their issues via witty jabs and insults as they try to make their way to safety. But fighting each other while also fighting off the forces of nature makes getting out of the woods in one piece less and less likely. And as the two travel deeper into Northern California’s rugged backcountry, secrets and hidden feelings surface. But can Zorie and Lennon’s rekindled connection survive out in the real world? Or was it just a result of the fresh forest air and the magic of the twinkling stars?

"This book has risen my expectation in relationships by a lot, not only for what I look for in a person, but how I should see myself in a relationship. "

Lennon has been hung up on Zorie for more than over 1 year now. Zorie has been hung up on Lennon and has tried everything she can to stop thinking about their past relationship they had. Last fall Lennon and Zorie were suppose to go to homecoming together. Zorie was excited because not only would they be going to homecoming together but they were going to announce that they are in a relationship to all their friends. Lennon decides that before he meets up with Zorie that he was going to book a hotel for them so after homecoming they could have some time to themselves. Well while he was booking the hotel room, Dan (Zorie's father) was behind him, and he threatened Lennon and told him that he had to stay away from Zorie and they could no longer talk and be friends. Dan HATES Lennon as well as his family. Lennon's parents own their own sex store and Zorie's parents own their own business as well. So throughout the book, Zorie is confused and the whole homecoming plans have changed. Lennon ends up not meeting her at her house to pick her up. He doesn't text or call her explaining everything that happened. So Lennon gets to the homecoming dance and sees that Zorie has already hooked up with another guy named Andre. Lennon is upset with what he sees and once he has the chance to explain what happened they both had made assumptions that both failed. Lennon still wanted a relationship with Zorie. Lennon NEVER hated Zorie. They couldn't have a relationship together because Dan got in the middle of it and would not support or be happy for his daughter dating Lennon. Joy (Zorie's mother) tells Zorie about this camping trip that she wants her daughter to go on since it would be a Senior trip. Zorie is in her last year of high school and Reagan's parents have paid for a girls camping trip out in "
"I know Goodreads is going to say that I finished this book but sadly I'm going to have to DNF it. I didn't get very far into it and wasn't very interested with the first couple of chapters. I was trying to continue it and push through but it just didn't peak my interest. I don't know who to recommend this book to as again, I didn't get very far. I'd say it's towards the end of middle grade and beginning of YA. <br/>I had nothing against this book. I just wasn't intrigued like I usually am by a good book. I hope that if you choose to read it, you enjoy it more than I did. ;)<br/>"
"Okay here me out! This book is alluring and beautiful and innocent, but also heartbreaking and adventurous, and wild. The start was very slow that I didn’t think it was what I expected, but I decided to read one more chapter and give it a chance. <br/>Boy, I’m glad I did. <br/>I love Lennon and Zorie’s relationship. They have inside jokes. They have little quirks about themselves that each other knows. They have hard pasts that they’re still wounded from. But they conquer the world together. This book is almost the kind of relationship I hope for. Zorie and Lennon change so much throughout the book, in the best way. <br/>I don’t want to spoil too much. Read it! Jenn Bennett’s writing was so captivating throughout the book and her descriptions of even the simplest things drew me in. I was addicted to Lennon and Zorie’s story for 7 days, wanting to know what would happen next. ❤️❤️❤️"

It was sweet, fulfilling, filled with love... <br/>Overall it was WONDERFUL!<br/>I read The Anatomical Shape Of A Heart and loved that story as well! It made me want to try this one and I’m so so glad that I did!<br/>I recommend this book along with any other contemporary novel Jen Bennet has written! They’re definitely worth the read!!"
