** THE GENTLEMAN FROM PERU - THE NEW NOVEL FROM ANDRE ACIMAN - IS AVAILABLE NOW** In this spellbinding new exploration of the varieties of love, the author of Call Me by Your Name lets us back into his characters' lives years after their first meeting In Find Me, Aciman shows us Elio's father, Samuel, on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, now a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train upends Sami's visit and changes his life forever. Elio soon moves to Paris, where he, too, has a consequential affair, while Oliver, a New England college professor with a family, suddenly finds himself contemplating a return trip across the Atlantic. Aciman is a master of sensibility, of the intimate details and the nuances of emotion that are the substance of passion. Find Me brings us back inside the world of one of our greatest contemporary romances to show us that in fact true love never dies.

"This book really felt like the author was trying to squeeze some money out of the bandwagon of the film adaptation with a sequel to Call Me. Maybe it’s just me, but this just didn’t feel authentic. "

"I was excited when I learned that there was a second book to Call Me By Your Name, but I don’t think it had the same feeling as the first book.
While I do love the themes of life and time not lining up, that is kind of the only part I truly liked.
Call Me By Your Name is fine without this."

"I found Find Me to be a compelling follow-up to Call Me By Your Name. I thoroughly enjoyed the novel, particularly the early sections focusing on Elio's father and his new relationship. While I found the segment with Elio and Oliver less fulfilling compared to the rest, it didn’t detract significantly from my overall enjoyment. Despite some mixed reactions from others, I found Find Me to be a rich and satisfying read, almost as captivating as its predecessor but less heart wrenching."

"This story is so sweet and heart breaking at the same time. I love how its not about people who are 20 something, but older and more settled adults. I love hearing about real life like issues without feeling like I'm being preached at or told this is how you have to be. Annabelle comes off as so put together and at the same time you get to see that she isn't perfect. Johnny comes off as a bit broken, but in the end you see they are just your average people trying to find true happiness in this impossible world. I love how Kai and Wen get all the emotions you'd expect, plus they add in an extra something to make hearing the story even more special."
