"Interesting story of 12 young women recruited by a thirteenth women as radio operators into WWII sabotage. The story is told through the lenses of three characters, two in the period of WWII and one twenty years later — historical forensics to uncover why and how the women disappeared. The story was compelling."
"Exceptionally well done. So intense to imagine what these girls went through. Absolutely amazing. Well told. I loved the audio version. Excellent depiction of characters. An easy listen. “And once out, Eleanor thought silently, you can’t put it back any more than returning a mist of perfume to a bottle once it has been sprayed.” Pam Jenoff, The Lost Girls of Paris"

"ARC version.<br/><br/>What I expected were stories about strong, independent spies who are fully capable of carrying out orders, sabotaging enemy plans, and helping the Allied victory in WWII. What I got were weakly thought out characters who seemed (the majority of them anyway) to be incapable of completing any task without someone holding their hands or having a man beside them. The parts of the story where they were actually doing exciting spy work were far and few in between. <br/><br/>The main characters Grace and Marie always appeared to make the most non-sensical decisions in their situation. I had to put the book down several times due to how unbelievable it is. <br/>"
