"Day 25 of #Spooktober I watch Nightmare on Elm Street which isn’t as good as I remember. Though I was merely a child when I watched this for the first time on cable tv. I couldn’t have been not much older than 7 or 8. You’re probably asking yourself why in the world would a child my age be viewing this. But when you have a brother and sister who are 10 years your senior it’s plenty of things I probably shouldn’t have seen. The more I venture back into these Freddy films the more I realize I had no clue what I was watching. Yeah I got the concept of him killing you in your sleep. Which is why I had actual nightmares about Freddy Krueger as a child. But I never really fully grasp the plots back then. What’s most familiar are the actual nightmares but everything else seems new. I guess when you’re as young as I was plot and exposition isn’t something you’re really paying attention to. I will say for this to be a sequel to such a great film it’s kinda disappointing. I can understand why horror fans might consider it as one of the weaker sequels. Even still I know it’s not the best and also isn’t the worse in the franchise."

"I loved this one! It goes from the first one, which is just him slashing in dreams, to more of a reason why he's slashing in dreams. He wants to cause mayhem in real life, but can't so he needs a host to do his killings for him. It's cool, bloody, creepy, funny all in the same movie. It's like the first one, but I think better."
