Raised as a slave, Danny is used to fighting for his survival. In fact, his "master," Bart, thinks of him as a pet and goes as far as leashing him with a collar so they can make money in fight clubs, where Danny is the main contender. When Bart's crew is in a car accident, Danny escapes and meets a blind, kindhearted piano tuner who takes him in and uses music to free the fighter's long-buried heart.

"I was expecting dark themes when I first noticed this movie, but the real #crime is the dysfunctional relationship between the main character and his "uncle". #martial_arts is thrown in now and again to keep it interesting, although there's a fight scene in the middle that does up the suspense for a few moments. #action doesn't quite describe the #emotional journey. If you have ever experienced #trauma and/or #abuse , tread lightly with this film. #love #piano #music "
"I like this movie under the original name Danny the Dog. That title makes more sense because Jet Li's character is taken as a child and raised like a fighting dog, stripped of his humanity. Then he's freed and he finds himself in a loving home and rediscovers who he really is."
