The defense and the prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father. What begins as an open and shut case soon becomes a mini-drama of each of the jurors' prejudices and preconceptions about the trial, the accused, and each other.

"This is such an incredible display of acting from the most perfectly casted group of actors. The movie looks like the stage play that followed a couple of years later. It shows that the background and character of people follows them into any situation. This was certainly the case here. I never thought I could enjoy a movie about 12 jurors talking out the verdict of a case this much. It also proves that movies can be intelligent and provocative and emotionally compelling. Watch it, and you will be surprised how addictive it is watching these seasoned group of actors at work."
"Anyone never seeing this old movie has missed out. It’s 100 percent on rotten tomatoes, well deserved. The writing, the acting is flawless. And it remains relevant!"

"Excellent film yall. Truly.
Not to mention an extremely important film, no matter the age (of the viewer or of the movie). If you are at all interested in how the justice system is broken and actually quite unjust in many cases, but also interested in how one person could make the difference in all these proposed cases....this is gold. As a child it impacted me greatly. Unfortunately the subject matter still applies today. Definitely give this one a fair shot"
"The film is set entirely in the jury room of a court of law and never shows the court scenes. This was a deliberate choice made by the filmmakers as it allows the audience to focus on the deliberation process and the interaction between the jurors, rather than getting distracted by the legal proceedings. This also allows the film to explore the psychological and emotional dynamics of the jury members, as well as the prejudices and biases that they bring to the table, making the film more of a character study than a legal one. This approach also served to heighten the tension and drama of the story, as the audience is kept in suspense until the very end."
