"This could have been more with better writing. Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy possess the abilities to be more so this is a disappointment. I watched it because of my fondness of the Frankenstein story and all things adjacent. The two beautiful leading men were a bonus. "

"I am impressed at this new take on the classic movie monster. James McAvoy is charismatic as Victor Frankenstein, who wants to make the ultimate man, unstoppable and powerful. Daniel Radcliffe plays the role of Igor, Victor's friend and conscience. I enjoyed watching the complexities of their relationship grow as the moral implications of a made man are more clearly seen. When the monster is finally seen on screen, I was equally impressed at its stature and ferocity. The movie mostly shows everything that leads up to the making of the monster, and I was immensely satisfied with seeing the main characters more fleshed out as people. It is a moving and suspenseful movie."

"I wasn’t going to watch cuz it’s listed as horror. I wouldn’t say horror but maybe too gross for my taste; however I’m glad I watched for McAvoy, he’s amazing as usual. "
