Brooklyn teenager Jeffrey Willis, thoroughly unhappy with his modest homestead, embraces the other-world aspects of his summer job at the posh Flamingo Club. But thanks to a couple of late-summer hard lessons, the teen eventually realizes that family should always come first.

"A revisit to my childhood…this was my first sex scene in a movie! (Scandal at age 10!😱) This was also one of the first films to get a PG-13 rating in 1984. An entertaining coming-of-age Garry Marshall film, with Matt Dillon and Richard Crenna, set at a Long Island beach resort in 1963. Matt plays the eager, young cabana boy, who dreams of the rich lifestyle, while parking cars, romancing a rich girl and playing cards. Featuring great music and an eclectic cast. Fun movie! (I don’t think it’s streaming, though…found the dvd.)🤩🍿"
