"This is one very underrated Christmas special that I actually kinda have a soft spot for. While it’s clear from the animation that this was made pretty cheap, the songs are all too slow and basic (even in spite of Madison Davenport’s beautiful singing voice), it’s got beautiful visuals, a rather unique plot, and a very sweet, endearing cast of characters. It’s like a handmade Christmas sweater or a quilt: it might be easy to spot the craftsmanship issues, but you can also see the sincerity and love that went into making it, and while it might be cheap its sentimental value is priceless. It manages to weave together every other Christmas special and turn it into something completely new and original. "
