A young neurosurgeon inherits the castle of his grandfather, the famous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein. In the castle he finds a funny hunchback, a pretty lab assistant and the elderly housekeeper. Young Frankenstein believes that the work of his grandfather was delusional, but when he discovers the book where the mad doctor described his reanimation experiment, he suddenly changes his mind.

"This is my favorite Mel Brooks movie! The comedy is spot on and I love how the Frankenstein story is used as a conduit for said comedy to shine. I grow up with this movie and it just got better as I got older and I was able to understand the jokes that went way over my head as a kid. Just a really solid! "
