Though the version of the garden in this movie was beautiful it was also to unrealistic and exotic to be something you would find in Yorkshire. I felt that the acting left something to be desired and that I found myself not enjoying the huge changes in the story or entire parts left out. Disappointed and underwhelmed."

josephcox shared a tip "Sadly this is a depressingly dour film. Despite fine acting all round, almost all characters are mean until the faux redemption at the end of the film (due to the poor handling of the material, writers?) And, it's not suitable for young children as they wouldn't comprehend the innumerous flashbacks as well as scenes of imaginary characters in the present. Poor. Just poor."
