It certainly leaves a lot of questions unanswered, but I personally love movies that allow the viewer to fill in the gaps with their own interpretations. If you prefer clear, unambiguous stories, this probably isn’t for you. However, if you’re willing to let the film take you on a ride, I highly encourage checking this out (preferably on the big screen)."

nadine_. shared a tip "Beautiful visuals, but it couldve been a short picture book. A codependent djinn meets a woman, and nothing happens. Apart from it being beautiful visually its flat all the way through. Everything's told through narrative and so theres a disconnect from any emotion."

It seemed bland, the scenes were cut weirdly and it actually made me so sad that this amazing movie took the wrong turn ultimately ruining it altogether. Always sad to dislike an Idris Elba film."

I didn’t feel as moved as I wanted to, it seemed to both move very slowly and be over before I knew it. I wouldn’t say I disliked it, and I think it’s worth trying because some people will adore it."
