"Those looking for the heart pounding action that was in previous movies might want to look elsewhere. This is a more down to earth DB movie about family. I think it’s down to earth quality is it’s greatest strength though, not everything has to decide the fate of the world. "

"Watched this on Cinema Day, last weekend. I was just criticizing the franchise a couple weeks ago for making Goku and Vegeta so much stronger than the rest of the cast that no one else can shine. This movie sidesteps that to give us an interesting story by having Goku and Vegeta offworld. What we're given is a story and conflict rooted in the franchise's past, with the Red Ribbon Army looking to amass strength, again. The movie has good action sequences and the characteristic Dragon Ball humor. "
