His turn as the lovable Charlie showed an actor with a comedic charm who took the sharpness of Richard Curtis's script and ran with it. This had an ensemble cast that all brought something to a film that still feels fresh all these years later. From Simon Callow's fantastic buffoonery, to John Hannah's stellar show as the heartbroken Matthew, a pitch perfect Kristin Scott Thomas as Fiona, and the tragic Charlotte Coleman who was sadly taken far too soon, they all are given the chance to shine by a script that's almost flawless. A truly landmark modern British film that stands the test of time."

"I was enjoying this movie and the fun interactions between the characters, but then there was cheating. This is my least favorite romcom trope. Someone else isn’t keeping you apart. Just leave them. Clearly you don’t love them or care about their feelings if you’re willing to cheat."
