"Lowkey probably one of the best “superpower” movies ever made. Yes I’m not using the word superhero because the three protagonists aren’t heroes in any sense of the word. You know that the moment they use their powers to mess with people in a toy store and “dude where’s my car.” That’s what makes this so enjoyable to watch. A bunch of young folk doing stupid stuff with powers. The film does take a darker turn after a ‘certain’ incident and we see a more cynical take on a developing young person getting superpowers. Still a blast to watch. Did I also mention this was a footage movie? "

"I’ve seen this movie a longggg time ago I really need to revisit it as it is one of the best “superhero” movies of the 2010s. It truly is what 3 teenage boys would do if they all of a sudden got super powers and I love the found footage framing device. One of the best “found footage” movies ever. Truly an underrated classic."
"This certainly took me on a wild ride through teenage angst and supernatural chaos, leaving me equal parts amazed and bewildered. Watching Michael B. Jordan step into a teenage role was like discovering a time machine – it’s like he channeled his inner teen and brought his A-game. The film’s found-footage style adds an eerie realism to the story, making it feel like I stumbled upon a bunch of teenagers with legit superpowers. But beneath the levitating tricks and skyscraper acrobatics, there’s a deeper exploration of the impact of power on personal relationships and self-discovery. What’s truly mind-bending is the way “Chronicle” combines the exhilaration of newfound powers with the harsh realities of growing up. It’s a metaphor for navigating those tumultuous teenage years – just with a whole lot more flying and telekinesis. So, whether you’re a fan of found-footage flicks, fascinated by teenage superpowers, or just want to see Michael B. Jordan defy gravity before he became a household name, “Chronicle” is a strange and strangely amazing ride into the realm of supernatural adolescence."
