"Great movie"

"Where ‘Armageddon’ was more of a rollercoaster ride, ‘Deep Impact’ is the more grounded of the two ‘98 asteroid / comet disaster movies. It’s not perfect but, even with the concessions for dramatic license, the science is cool and you get to see this disaster play out from a variety of angles. Morgan Freeman’s president is one America probably deserves but not the one it needs right now."
"There have been many asteroid/comet disaster films. But this one took the time to get most of the physics right, and made sure you cared about all the characters in the film so that their prospect of dying matters to the viewer. And Morgan Freeman’s portrayal of the president of the United States may be the best ever."
