My only problem was the portrayal of Max Baer, he was actually a good person like James but here he was portrayed as evil simply to add drama and that’s really unfair. Otherwise it was a great film."

"Very good movie. It just goes to show that anyone can receive a second chance and most people take things for granted the first time, but we tend to be a lot more grateful for the second time. My favorite line in the movie is during his fight with John Henry Lewis, Lewis’ trainer asks him why he’s having so much trouble when he ko’ed him so easily last time. He replies, “That isn’t the same man I fought last time.” That’s because Braddock was fighting to feed his family, and pay his electricity, and etc… "

"I watched this movie in my American History class since we're learning about the Great Depression, and let me tell you. The emotional rollercoaster this movie puts you through is insane. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I normally don't fancy a film about the past because they're usually very sad and quite disturbing, but I definitely recommend this one."
