"The most unrealistic thing about this movie is that a middle of nowhere roadside general store in North Carolina would be selling cases of Arrogant Bastard ale. Some fun & gnarly gore effects though."

"Some of the scenes in this movie stuck with me for years afterwards. Avoid the remake it doesn't capture any of this. In fact I would say the remake tried to avoid doing any of the scenes that really stuck in my head. They probably were too gross even for the people making the remake which means that the first one is the best."

This movie joyfully pushes the boundaries of good taste, and in my mind it worked. I laughed at the absurdity of the whole thing.
