Jenilike others have mentioned, it's the type of book that keeps you hooked and you just have to find out what happens. i found myself picking up this book as soon as i got home from work. love the way the story unfolded. had a few interesting twists. like everyone in the book, i was intrigued by the scarlett character.
Jenii really liked the concept of the story. loneliness is something i can really relate to do this book resonated with me. it was a beautiful story told between the past and present. it also had a twist i didnt see coming mostly because i dont expect a book like this to have a twist. so i was definitely shocked. pacing was also great. it goes by fast without you realizing it.
Jenithis book blew me away. i was apprehensive about reading it because of all the reviews stating how dark and disturbing it is but it wasn't as dark as i was expecting. more moody. i absolutely love her writing style. reminded me a little of gabriel garcia marquez. very intriguing story, couldn't put it down.
Jenithis was surprisingly a fast read. it wasnt as funny as i thought it would be but still a light hearted read if you need to laugh. sometimes the number of characters can be confusing.
Jeniquick read. main character can be kind of annoying. some parts can be unsettling but if youre looking for a thriller, this checks that box. i was wary because i didnt like his other book, southern book club but this was a step up.
JeniQuick read. Intriguing. lots of people recommend this for agatha christie first timers and i can see why. turned out in a way i didnt expect.
JeniLight read, tad cheesy in some parts. Sometimes i found the article she's writing more interesting than the book. Found the topic very intriguing. Also, some very spicy parts. This is my first book on this series.
