Goku the main protagonist goes on an adventure to find the mysitic 7 dragon balls and makes some great friends and some not so great enemies along the way. A good mix of action and comedy and even sad moments. This work from Akira Toriyama, influenced many manga artists for generations to come!"

momobean shared a tip "Honestly, any anime-watcher should definitely watch at least a couple episodes of this. As many say, it's a classic and what I think was many people's first exposure to anything "anime" in the US since the dubbed version was aired on TV. It's not DBZ (aka no adult Goku here) but more of an origin story showing his beginnings and how the "main" story got started."

christian_byrd_6612 shared a tip "Honestly it's mostly nostalgia. I personally think the story is good but I know it's a bit cheesy like a lot of stuff made back then especially japanese cartoons. Most people have watched dragonball z but never seen dragonball and if you're one of those people this will explain alot about the relationship between goku and everyone else in dragonball z."
