"4.25⭐️ Another excellent but challenging show. Ironically I started this one around the same time as Beef but as they are both very stressful had to put it aside until I was emotionally ready lol. It’s a half hour drama about how a family and their restaurant deal with a brother’s suicide, anchored by Carmy, a top tier chef come home to run the beef sandwich shop. Restaurant is not quite the right word. The place is a mess, a sinking ship of debt and problem after problem. Top it off that no one even wants him there. So there’s a LOT of catastrophic disasters and very VERY loud vitriolic yelling amongst everyone. It was a test of my blood pressure. In between though. Quiet and lovely, heart wrenching moments of reflection, grief, determination and…beautiful food. Everyone, I mean everyone is trying SO hard. It’s kind of inspiring even if you don’t want to like them. Yeah this was not an easy quick binge but really glad I got back to it. "
