"This IS a worthy spin off from The Boys. I've read more than a few reviews that basically p*ss all over this show and I'm guessing it's because they haven't given it a chance, reviewing it after only an episode or two. I enjoyed the character development and casting was on point as well. They used just the right amount of comic relief, and of course, you can never have too much of the twisted scenarios from the mind of Garth Ennis, who is my absolute favorite comic book writer of all time. Can't wait for season 2 of Gen V and season 4 of The Boys. 9/10"

"First, I love The Boyz. While it’s not exactly new, I’m digging this current trend of taking something that’s cool and telling a whole different story but in the same universe. This and the Wick one are neck and neck for some of my many favs. They really do their best to try to shock, gag or laugh you to death. The raunchiest and gory-est. The season finale sets up the next season of The Boyz, which will now cross over I guess. The special effects and action sequences are just amazing. So how long til the next season of The Boyz? "

"I know there is one episode left but one episode really can’t change what I’m gonna say. I really do like this especially for a being a spinoff of the boys which I adore. I like the characters and their powers. Right to episode 4 I was loving it. But now I’m realizing the story is very nonexistent almost. It’s really just the characters trying to figure out what is going on. Episode 5 honestly was ass and that whole plot definitely could have been a lot shorter. So basically I like the characters but not really what their doing I guess. Plus the comedy is good. Everything but the storyline is interesting. I hope season 2 is a lot better."
