"I've only just started watching it, but I'm already impressed.
It's an interesting show that slowly makes connections form as you go along, and they get more intriguing by the minute. Watching everything come together like it does makes you all the more invested in how it continues.
The situations they find themselves in felt like a cruel twist of fate clashing together in a convenient culmination of events.
I would like to warn people, though, that my favorite K-Drama is Faith / The Great Doctor. The main guy & one of the main side characters from that show too are also in this. I was excited to see the guy younger & watch how his acting still held up. He's so cool to watch, & I love his expression. Seeing how his character grows throughout is something he portrays expertly in both shows. Plus, watching what was an intimidating presence of a woman in Faith be shown as a mute mother in this show expressed her range amazingly. She pulls them both off with such ease. But the point I'm making is that he & the lady being in this instantly made me love it. I couldn't help it. Seeing the two of them in another show in such different characters while still showcasing themselves made me biased.
Honestly, all the actors in this so far have impressed me. They play their parts well (except for some of the "American actors" they felt more like native born Koreans portraying Americans at times. (Not all but some) Especially with the accents. The situations they kept finding themselves in also felt like a 90s - early 2000s view of how other countries viewed America. I'm sure anyone not from America wouldn't notice, so it's just a nitpick).
If you're American, it's going to throw you for a loop when certain Americans show up. But every actor/actress does well with their characters. That's a certainty.
Overall, it's a show that's become a classic for k-dramas, & you can tell. "
"AKA “Inheritors”. Let me just say that after watching “Boys Before Flowers”, and now this I can say it makes perfect sense why Lee Min-Ho is one of the most popular Korean actors. Charisma oozes out of his pores. His eyes and the intensity say it all. This is a must see series IMO and BTW Chairman Kim became one of my most hated all-time villains. (Thanks to the writing and the actor who played that part). "
