"This was a really good book! I was a little sceptical going into it because I read Beach Read a few weeks ago and didn't really love it, but this one did not let me down! It was such a fast, easy read! There were so many funny moments and I loved all the inside jokes they had! There were times I was definitely frustrated with the main characters for their lack of communication skills, but overall I really enjoyed this book!"

"4.75/5 I love Emily Henry and have such a good time reading her books. The jokes in this book were 10/10. So many funny one liners and hilarious banter between the characters! Great story of found family, friendship and second chance romance. This books was so close to flawless. Just like people we meet on vacation the end felt a little rushed as far as the conflict resolution. For two people who couldn’t communicate well they figured out how to very quickly. Overall it’s an amazing summer read. I know Emily Henry books aren’t ever super spicy but I wanted this one to have just the smallest dash more! 1/5 spice level for this one. "

"I was expecting a completely different type of story based off the title. I felt frustrated more than any other emotion while reading it. The constant tension got in the way of the love story. There was also a huge lack of self-awareness and communication skills in most of the characters which was very repetitive and annoying. This was not a happy place for me… "

"I don’t even even know if I can articulate what this book did to me in words… but I’ll try Miss Emily Henry will always be GREAT at writing grief and friendships and love and just the over all compilation of complicated human emotions. the first half of this book was going okay, I wasn’t sure where it was going but it was interesting enough to keep me going. during this time I was thinking, this is probably my least fav Emily Henry book so far (I know that’s a little early to decide but nonetheless those were my thoughts). Then I got to two second half of this book and when I tell you that I was teary eyed the entire second half because YET AGAIN, miss Emily Henry has pulled at my heart strings. It’s astonishing to me that I see so much of myself in so many of these characters: I absolutely adored Harry, Sabrina and Cleo’s friendships, sisterhood <3 Emily Henry is the author that forces me to believe in love, despite the world and generation I live in. She makes me want embrace being a hopeless romantic when I spend majority of my life resenting it. Harry and Wyn are just so beautifully written, I hope everyone one finds love like that. Now that’s it’s over, I need a week to recover from everything. And reevaluate where this book fits into my top 4 Emily Henry books!"

"I know I am supposed to be writing about the book but could we just step back for a second and applaud Emily Henry right now? This could be said for all of her stories but I am so appreciative of the depth at which she writes her characters. They are complex, relatable, and flawed. As they should be. Emily Henry has proven herself a trustworthy author to me and I will buy anything she comes out with regardless of what it's about. <br/><br/>This story was engrossing from the beginning. The chemistry off the charts amazing. I desperately needed to know what happened to these two, who seemed like soulmates and if they would get a second chance. Destined for each other and normally that is not an easy sell for me. Not sure if it was because I was watching this show at the time or reading Happy Place made me want to re-watch it but I was getting heavy Felicity vibes here. The expectations of the parents hit especially hard. The way one can never do or say the right thing. And also seeking a safe haven away from them and all the judgment. I'll just say it helped me see things within my own family.<br/><br/>Happy Place was frustrating in a good way. Reading felt like a slow descent toward the end of something. The friend group was a perfect addition to the story. Again Emily Henry made me feel a part of something bigger than myself. It was like getting a small glimpse of paradise. She included many good insights on relationships. Friends losing and finding one another again. Fighting change. Looking for validation in each other. Admitting things that you cannot admit to yourself. Just highly impressed with all her work so far and how she can make such a fictional world feel so real."
