"What a movie! Writing and acting especially are firing on all cylinders! Powerful commentary on capitalism and the destructive effect that chasing popularity above all else has on a person. Sidney Lumet’s best work since 12 ANGRY MEN."

"A movie ahead of its time, it’s a shame I don’t hear much about this movie. Such a great cast and amazing story of a news anchor who decides to tell the world on national tv he’s going to kill himself, which brings up the rating for the network and eventually gets his own show as a angry prophet just to be assassinated in the end. Crazy concept for a movie with some dark themes such as manipulation, emptiness, greed.
The only issue I have with this movie is it’s a lot of dialogue so for the average person who doesn’t have a good attention span will probably get bored midway through the movie."

"A mind blower and shockingly relevant. Despite only watching it once and viewing it recently I'd still venture to say it could be considered timeless. If I had to describe it for someone looking to watch, I'd say it's like a cross between They Live and Mike Leigh's, Naked. Those probably aren't the most accessible titles, but, then again, this isn't a film that'll intrigue your average movie-goer."
"Amazing how this film is still relevant after all these years."
