"This was an extraordinarily cheesy movie, but I found myself charmed by the end of it. Kate was endearingly stupid. Seriously, her belief was cute, but if Kevin McCalister can booby trap his home at 8 years old, then she could have avoided the dumb decisions she made at 10. Teddy was a jerk, but I grew fond of him. Santa was annoyingly hot. Like, Kurt Russell’s Santa would definitely end up on my Hear Me Out cake. The movie was cute and it had its fun moments. The car chase was cool. The jailhouse performance was hilarious. I loved the cameos (I see you Emmy Winner Lamorne Morris). The elves were cute-ish. I still don’t understand why they made them gremlin-rodent esque creatures, but they eventually grew on me. The movie was good, but what dragged it down to 4 stars (really 3 1/2 if we’re being honest) were the plot holes. How did the elves who paratrooped down to the houses get back? Why was it okay for Santa to sing to a jail filled with people while magically pulling out presents and instruments, but not for kids to see him Christmas morning? And why oh why did Santa risk Christmas entirely just to teach the Pierce kids a lesson? Anyways, I did like it (though I didn’t at the beginning and only started to as the movie gained momentum) and would watch it again."

"Wasn’t bad, Kurt Russell does make a good Santa Claus, the beard and costume design was *chef’s kiss*. I wasn’t a fan of the elves design but I do like to think they speak a different language. It was pretty nice for the design set of Santa’s home and I guess the toy factory attached to it?. Overall the effects were good. Storyline wasn’t completely to my tastes so I wasn’t as interested as I thought I would be."
