"8/10 an amazing historical piece. It’s gripping, nerve-wracking, and shows a beautiful love story. Beautifully made as well, the matches are so well done, brutal. My only problem was the portrayal of Max Baer, he was actually a good person like James but here he was portrayed as evil simply to add drama and that’s really unfair. Otherwise it was a great film."
"Very good movie. It just goes to show that anyone can receive a second chance and most people take things for granted the first time, but we tend to be a lot more grateful for the second time. My favorite line in the movie is during his fight with John Henry Lewis, Lewis’ trainer asks him why he’s having so much trouble when he ko’ed him so easily last time. He replies, “That isn’t the same man I fought last time.” That’s because Braddock was fighting to feed his family, and pay his electricity, and etc… "
"Solid boxing movie. I really enjoyed the period piece aspect of the film. It portrayed the 30’s and the Great Depression incredibly. To see what people were going through at that time was both emotional and eye opening. Can be a little dull at moments. Really loved Paul Gio in it. 70/100"
"It was okay. Love Russell Crowe. If I had a choice between this and Rocky, I’d watch Rocky. "
