"I’d probably give this more of a 3.5. It’s not too slow or anything really. I don’t think there’s a lot standing out that’s wrong with it. I just don’t love romance. This and comedy are my least favorite genres. But this is probably my favorite romance I’ve seen for a while. I like how their is a mix of happy, awkward, dark, and emotional moments. Kinda of like a real relationship but It also makes it more enjoyable for me. Michelle Williams and Ryan gosling both did a great job with their performances. These are probably my favorite type of performances basically just grounded and none of the dialogue feels like a overreaction for either character. I actually liked the mix of present and past scenes. It was nice to see the contrast between tones. The main focus is really them two. Even the daughter is not in the movie much. But I enjoyed that because the most entertaining parts are between the two characters. Good movie."
"Just simply - I just didn’t like it. Yuck. But that’s just my opinion. Just wasn’t for me. "

"Blue Valentine follows the journey of a middle-class couple whose initial intense passion evolves into a toxic and emotionally draining relationship. The film explores how their young love, marked by charm and whimsical humor, gradually deteriorates when they fail to build a solid foundation of understanding, respect, and maturity. As they grow individually, their communication becomes increasingly dysfunctional. The husband's once-playful charisma becomes irritating and a sign of immaturity to the wife, while her introverted nature faces criticism and verbal abuse. His lack of ambition and contentment further exacerbates her frustration, leading to a deeply strained relationship."
"Depression: The movie. Very great film but super tough to watch (9.25/10)"
