"Superheroes are a very individualist ideal due to them following their own justice beyond typical law enforcement. In contrast Academia follows the friendship of shonen with its large cast of characters in school working together to become better heroes. And the moments where a character follow a personal vendetta it brings conflict to other characters. Can’t say it’s my favorite due to but it still has some cool story and character beats that are born from its take on superheroes. "
"It's excessively addicting. At first I thought it was a bad hero rip off of black Clover but I was wrong. It's its own thing. The story is awesome, I love the detail in every character, and it always manages to surprise me. Normally shows are so predictable but this one shocks me. I'm on season 4 now and all I want is more."
"So my comment is going to be kind of weird, first off most of the villains are just abuse victims whose parents hit them for having weird quirks. Nobody tries to save these abuse victims. In fact these guys are even LGBT friendly. Now the heroes are mostly people who I don't really care for, one is straight up a child abuser and he's our number two hero. Endeavor hurt his children, and is responsible for one going missing and having a facial deformity because of the abuse. Gross."
"My intro to anime… I wasn’t sure what to expect but it’s so SO good. I laugh, I cry, I sit in shock. I legitimately think about some aspect of this show every single day- it’s one of the best I’ve ever seen. So much thought is put into every quirk, every backstory, every arc. Watching Deku and class 1A grow & become the next generation of heroes is just. everything. Highly recommend "
"I honestly wasn't planning on watching this because it's so main stream and honestly most mainstream anime isn't that good in the character development area. I feel like Deku really resonates with me being in touch with his emotional side. I also really like Lida because he's probably more like me in a logical sense and strives to be like his brother. I totally get that because I look up to my brother (not that I tell him that). I also like that there's not too much over sexualized female characters. "
"A little bit overrated in the social groups I'm in but definitely a good anime. I don't like how i got attached to All Might as a comfort character who is big and strong and can protect everybody but especially midorya and loves everybody but especially midoriya. Because as the show progresses he kind of deteriorates until he hits like absolute rock bottom and really can't do that anymore. I know it's unreasonable to expect that from him lol but man i just want a reliable guardian figure character, i have mommy issues"
