A small town is touched by angels; a powerful, forbidden romance forms, and intrigue and action ensue as the Dark Forces resist the angels influence, in the first book of Alexandra Adornetto's heartfelt YA Halo Trilogy. Three angels are sent down to bring good to the world: Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, a teenage girl who is the least experienced of the trio. But she is the most human, and when she is romantically drawn to a mortal boy, the angels fear she will not be strong enough to save anyone—especially herself—from the Dark Forces. Is love a great enough power against evil?

"This was a great book makes you want to read the following 2 books"

"I was intrigued by the synopsis of the book, but a few chapters in it was just way too juvenile for my taste. It's probably best for young-to-mid teenagers."

"Great read, third book a bit slower but for the most part this series is great for those who like endearing romances and a touch of supernatural action."

"My favorite part would have to be the beginning of Beth and Xavier's relationship because they are so dorky and cute together."

"3 angels are sent to Venus Cove on a mission. Bethany is the most down-to-earth angel of all time and she takes her human experiences more seriously then her more serious and stand-offish angelic siblings Gabriel and Ivy. Even for their serious demeanor, I found myself liking both Ivy and Gabriel. Bethany, I think, was too much like a normal, insecure teenager but not enough of the experienced 17 year-old angel. Gabriel and Ivy were definitely more what I was expecting Bethany to be like. She was slightly in the initial stage but quickly became the annoying, whinny teenager. It was also surprising that an angel would fall for a human, granted a very hot human. Xavier sounds like my kind of guy but he really had to go out of his way to protect Bethany her own naivety. Even in angel standards she seemed a little too clueless. Don't angels watch us daily? Just a thought. Anyway, I liked the book. It was different from other angel/demon books I have read and I really liked the writing style. It flowed well and kept me interested til the last page. If you like a battle between good and evil, this will appease your appetite."
