"This is the kind of book that I think would have taken me weeks to get into but Jesse Villinsky's narration brought emotion and life to even the most uninteresting characters. I found the romance to be pretty realistic for teens coming into adulthood (if a little jarring at times) watching these characters and their families heal and break was beautiful. Saft did an amazing job if crafting so many immersing and intimate moments in this book. I'm excited to see what they write next!"
"I found it a little hard to get into at first, but over all it was a good read. "

"I would give this one a 4/10. It had some good romance scenes, but most of the time I had to force myself to keep reading. It was very slow paced and I thought the main heroine was painstakingly frustrating. And the transition from them moderately disliking each other to falling in love didn’t feel very smooth or natural. I also felt the plot didn’t have much depth."
"I wish I liked this more, not that I didn't like it or that I disliked it, but so many books that I've been reading lately have been insane bangers that it was disappointing I didn't like this so much more. I will definitely applaud Allison Saft for the Jewish parallels and resulting antisemitic parallels, those were executed quite well, as well as the mother daughter relationship and how strained it is. I appreciated that it didn't feel drawn out further than it should have been, the conflicts made sense, and I honestly really felt the pain of the discussions of Yu'adir (Jewish) rejection, I mean she even used the terminology "pogrom" which was startling. I hope that for readers who are not Jewish and may not understand what we go through, this book makes them think, or realize what our lives can be like. For readers that are Jewish, I hope they find peace and connection within this book."
"A good story. Enjoyed the characters relationships and growth. "
