Bearded, bad-boy barber Knox prefers to live his life the way he takes his coffee: Alone. Unless you count his basset hound, Waylon.Knox doesn't tolerate drama, even when it comes in the form of a stranded runaway bride.Naomi wasn't just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned way...with fists and beer. Usually in that order.Too bad for Naomi her evil twin hasn't changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi's car and cash, Tina leaves her with something unexpected. The niece Naomi didn't know she had. Now she's stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan, and no home with an 11-year-old going on thirty to take care of.There's a reason Knox doesn't do complications or high-maintenance women, especially not the romantic ones. But since Naomi's life imploded right in front of him, the least he can do is help her out of her jam. And just as soon as she stops getting into new trouble he can leave her alone and get back to his peaceful, solitary life.At least, that's the plan until the trouble turns to real danger.

"This was my first Lucy Score book, and I was a bit hesitant to pick it up, but once I did I couldn't put it down! This book was longer than your average romance novel, but it was fairly fast paced and it was soooo worth it! I loved both of the main characters, and there were so many incredible, lovable side characters! I fell in love with Naomi right off the bat, and though it took a little while for Knox to grow on me, I adored him by the 100 page mark! Waylay was such an adorable, resilient, little badass, and I loved her so freaking much! I loved the small town setting, and how the community never hesitated to come together when they were needed! Grumpy x sunshine, boss x employee, runaway bride, bad boy barber, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, fake dating, found family, age gap, small town setting, spicy, and dual POV! The ending was soooo sweet, and I can hardly wait to check out Nash’s book! 10/10 would recommend!"
"Just listened to the audiobook for the second time and love it even more than the first listen! The narrations are so great! I love Sebastian York and this narration suits his voice perfectly. Love the character development and and variety of characters. Can’t wait for the second book! Dual POV. "
"this one was lovely! Knox and Naomi have fun banter which always leads to some good spice! i’m a sucker for a small town romance and this definitely fit the bill! with a sprinkle of found/chosen family, a bit of thrill and heart, all in all this was a good read! I know this book is known for being long but I devoured it in a day!"
"Longer read than most books. Semi-spicy, nothing too crazy. After about page 450 I was getting a little tired with how the main character was being made out as almost helpless - I get the angle the author wanted, but wish there would have been a little more independence. Overall I would still recommend it as a good read. 1/4"
