As a child she made headlines. As an adult no one knows her real name. But some nightmares linger even after you open your eyes…Don’t miss this “hauntingly atmospheric and gorgeously written page-turner” (Kimberly McCreight, New York Times bestselling author of A Good Marriage) from Reese Witherspoon Book Club selected and New York Times bestselling author Megan Miranda.Everyone knows the story of “the girl from Widow Hills.” Arden Maynor was just a child when she was swept away while sleepwalking during a terrifying rainstorm and went missing for days. Strangers and friends, neighbors and rescue workers, set up search parties and help vigils, praying for her safe return. Against all odds, she was found, alive, clinging to a storm drain. The girl from Widow Hills was a living miracle. Arden’s mother wrote a book. Fame followed. Fans and fan letters, creeps, and stalkers. And every year, the anniversary. It all became too much. As soon as she was old enough, Arden changed her name and disappeared from the public eye. Now a young woman living hundreds of miles away, Arden goes by Olivia. She’s managed to stay off the radar for the last few years. But with the twentieth anniversary of her rescue approaching, the media will inevitably renew its interest in Arden. Where is she now? Soon Olivia feels like she’s being watched and begins sleepwalking again, like she did long ago, even waking up outside her home. Until late one night, she jolts awake in her yard. At her feet is the corpse of a man she knows—from her previous life, as Arden Maynor. The girl from Widow Hills is once again at the center of this story in this “compulsive page-turner” (Booklist).

"Good enough story here but still have a lot of questions. "

"I struggled with how to rate this one, the beginning was really slow to get into and there was so much build up to potential plot twists or suspects, to then be thrown off at the end with something totally unpredictable. There were definitely parts where I couldn’t put the book down though and had to figure out how it went — the suspense was great! I would still recommend this one to anyone who liked her other books. 3⭐️"

"Another subtle thriller by Megan Miranda with a creepy air to it. "

"I wasn’t impressed. The story was interesting for the most part but the ending was rushed, almost like the author was tired of writing it. "

"Fast paced story of a once famous little girl and a trauma she experienced. She changed her identity and moved away, yet the past comes back to haunt her. I stayed up entirely too late finishing this book but it was worth it for the twist at the end that you don't see coming"

"This book was pretty good but not as suspenseful as I thought it would be. I liked the characters but wish there was more detail behind some of the situations in the book "
