I read it mostly over a very busy vacation, which was perfect because I had very little bandwidth for something that required a lot of me, time wise or concept wise. If you’re looking for a light, easy read, you’ll still get some classic Grady Hendrix out of this, it’s funny at times, makes you cringe at others, the dialogue between characters is very animated and engaging, but the story overall was just kind of meh to me."

brandi_always_reading shared a tip "This haunted house is filled with dolls, puppets, and even a stuffed squirrel Manger scene.  One of the puppets is the cause of all the weird stuff that happens.  Don't put the puppet on your hand!  Louise and her brother Mark have to deal with years of built up sibling resentment before they can start to unravel the family secrets and lies."
