"Some of the scenes in this movie stuck with me for years afterwards. Avoid the remake it doesn't capture any of this. In fact I would say the remake tried to avoid doing any of the scenes that really stuck in my head. They probably were too gross even for the people making the remake which means that the first one is the best."
"Gotta be honest I'm not sure I really liked it. It would have been way better without the edge lord factor of white people using the n word for humor and calling everything gay. And since it was made in 2002 it can even be excused as just "normal for that time" which is dumb. Plus jesus christ could there be more sex scenes if they tried? It would've been so good without all that ****."
"A shock fest from start to finish. From the language at the gas station to the gross deaths of the group of vacationers. This movie joyfully pushes the boundaries of good taste, and in my mind it worked. I laughed at the absurdity of the whole thing. Not anywhere as good as other killer virus movies, but still campy enough to be a decent time waster. I give it ☢️☢️ 1/2 toxic waste warnings."
