"Not really my cup of tea and I didn’t understand why the nobleman’s daughter took the sword and what she thought she would accomplish with it being in her hands. There was also a part I didn’t realize was supposed to be a flashback scene until after so I was confused on how the teen met her lover until the end. So with that I felt the story needed to be clearer. I do love Michelle Yeoh though."

"The spirit of this movie strikes me as a Chinese mythological opera. I like how in Asian cinema their characters don't need reasons or rules to break certain laws of physics and are still grounded in a very human way. I appreciate this movie more now than when I first saw it."
