"Just a quickie because I have to get back to my Halloween horror marathon before the holiday is over 😭😭. I put this on hold for years because it was the other half of the Grindhouse double feature that included Tarantino's Death Proof which became my least favorite of his movies, so I wasn't in a hurry to watch this even though it's a Robert Rodriguez movie. MY GOD is this movie so brutally fun!! It's a mix of Evil Dead 2, The Thing, Return of the Living Dead, and any other batshi🤬 crazy horror/action/comedies you can think of. Yes, tons.....and tons......and my god tons of gore, but....it's shot as an old grindhouse film so it's more entertaining than off putting, it's just got better looking effects than back in the day. Just like old films back then there are popping and skipping issues (on purpose), and even a scene where the film "accidentally" catches 🔥🔥. Some fun cameos I wasn't aware of going in, and great fun performances overall from the main cast. I was either smiling or slightly cringing (sometimes both) the whole movie. Highly recommended for a great shock to the system. 4/5 easy! SERIOUSLY......I really really meant for this to be shorter....by like lots 🤣🤣"
