"Great atmosphere, 80s throwback film style"

"I’m not sure what it is with Ty West being so close to having something but in the end totally missing the mark, I have the same problem I have with X it’s like a costume of a 70s horror but not actually giving me anything other then looks, I guess you can say it was like Black Christmas..but I don’t like that movie either so I got nothing out of this. When it came to the scares I wanted more, when it came to Devil Worship stuff it could of been more over the top and creeper..but it’s mostly a girl walking around a house for an hour, and the end just wasn’t Satisfying…just blah."

"A slow burn film with a neat retro aesthetic and buildup . The ending though felt pretty rushed so with that I’d have to say roughly about a 6.6/10 for me "

"This Movie Is A Slow Burner But Good Very Aesthetically Pleasing "

"Ti West does a period type horror set in the 80's and really nails the time frame. There is this grainy texture to it and even has the fade to black parts as if going to commercial. A college student takes a baby sitting job but there is no baby. As the night progresses we know where it's going but not how it will play out. It is a bit of a slow burn with some parts being a little boring early but once the job starts they lock in. It ends in a way you expect with it going over the top and not expect at the same time. I would have scored it higher with a tighter script and a bit more editing. Definitely one you should check out. "Good for what it is; a modern horror film which is not only set in the '80s, but made to have the feel of it being done in the '80s. Not particularly scary, but certainly has its creepy moments."

"I saw the potential but other than having great 80’s cinematography and aesthetic I thought it was pretty dull. "

"Except for one little sucks to be her moment, literally nothing happens in over an hour in this movie. When something finally does happen she just gets free because she can. So silly. Was personally a waste of my time."
