"if the acting and cinematography weren't so good, this movie would be prime mst3k fodder. pulpy horror premise, not an amazing screenplay, absolutely dreadful background music (especially in the car; reminded me of the weedly-woo music from Manos: The Hands of Fate). the conclusion makes no sense, and might offend most modern pagan practitioners. and yet despite the clunky scenery and pacing, its beautifully shot and surprisingly enjoyable. just goes to show that sometimes you only need to get ENOUGH right for a fun movie."
