What Still Remains

"I liked this movie, but would have much preferred it in TV show form. It has lots of room to grow, but presents an interesting idea. From religion to sexual abuse, this movie asks the question-- what does "good" look like in a post-apocalyptic world? Honestly, this movie had me truly hoping that the handsome Prince Charming would turn out to be as good as he seemed. The true goodness of this movie lies in the fact that it keeps audiences guessing-- who's the good guy? The problem is that it presents no real answer, and that it doesnt even make a good argument for either side. I liked the acting and for the most part, the writing. That being said, it could use more. It would have great potential as a TV show about sexual trauma, the tribulations of religion, and the need for people to be with others. It missed the mark, in my opinion, but provided some suspense in the process. A good watch if you've got no other options. Wish the protagonist would have gotten her "got em" moment at the end, like I'd somewhat expected. For a better version of the same movie, minus the apocalypse and religion, watch "Fresh". "
