"the last of us part 1 in movie form. definitely my new favorite zombie film. the series just isn't going to hold a candle to it. "

The side characters became so much better than I imagined and I grew to love them all. All that being said it was definitely slow paced for the most part. It was alright for me. Wouldn't watch again tho sadly."

"The optics of a small black girl in restraints and a Hannibal Lecter mask are not good. Treating little kids like ****, whether they’re zombies or not is not something I want to watch. Furthermore the main girl is overly nice, overly passive, and extremely submissive. And the one adult black man president throughout most of the movie, of course becomes expendable at some point. The whole movie is problematic and there’s not enough room To unpack a bunch of white people carting this little black girl around treating her like ****, And the end does not make up for any of that."
