It really captures how gruesome the war in the trenches and have it not only affected the soldiers physically, but mentally as well. There was a lot of gore and disturbing moments, so if that triggers you then I wouldn’t recommend. The only reason why it’s not a 5/5 is because there were a few moments I was a little confused with, but it could have just been because the movie was originally made in Germany then translated over to English. Overall, I loved this story and felt very strong attachments to many characters. It’s heartbreaking, but then again it’s worth the watch!"
