Saakura ShoReally good book, represents well what we can imagine of a dictatorship, isn't too focused on politics and shows a more "daily life" aspect of a controlled society. I used it for a school project on politics and it was perfect. The end was a bit rough, but not too much. I'd recomment it for 14+ readers.
Chris FloresGreat book! Did you have a favorite part?
Saakura ShoThey made us read that book in 3rd year of high school. I was a bit disappointed by the ending, but the story as a whole was really interesting. A world where the population is controlled, acting like robots. The Elders choose how many children are born each year, how many children each family can have, what each age range can possess... And once children reach a certain age, they also choose the job that you will do for the rest of your life. When someone doesn't respect society's criteria, they are sent to Elsewhere.
